Message Boards have Returned
WarderDragon -
June 19, 2005
The
Twilight Sanctuary Message Boards are now back online. It took
Proboards significantly longer than expected to implement version 4, but
the changes aren't bad for a free message board. Everything is intact,
it looks and works much better than before. Feel free to take a look.
Stardock, with its Object Desktop technology, has unveiled
its World of Warcraft Desktop Theme. I've downloaded it, and its worth
the download if you are a World of Warcraft fan. It changes your whole
GUI, such as buttons, start menu, etc. You can download it
here. Microsoft Games has also released a new Warcraft themed set of
Window's Media Player 10 skins, which can be downloaded
here.
Blizzard has also announced that it has reached over 2
million subscribers worldwide, and it continues to grow.
The World of Warcraft has completed its vintage poster
contest, sponsored by Zboard. Many of the vintage posters are based off
pre-1960's posters and advertisements, with a World of Warcraft theme,
and not only are many hilarious, many of theme are well done, made by
truely skilled artists. Take a look
here.
Finally, Blizzard is
running a new screenshot contest that many might be interested in.
To
celebrate the launch of the Battlegrounds System, Blizzard is giving
away a rare, life-size mannequin of a Night Elf female.
To enter the contest, take the best screen shot you can within one of
the Battlegrounds Zones and submit it using the Web page link below by
June 20th, 2005.
We will run them through the gauntlet of dev team scrutiny, and will
announce the winners soon after. So train your photographer's eye on the
Battlegrounds and good luck!

Message Boards Down For Upgrades
WarderDragon - June 11, 2005
As
you might already know, Proboards is progressively upgrading their
message board systems, and is now in the process of upgrading the
Proboards42 server. I am not certain when this will be complete, but it
should end soon. The upgrades seem to be a revamp of the way the boards
work, such as the entire title area is clickable to access the area, not
just the hyperlink. This means they must copy over the code and the
actual text, which can be risky to old posts if done too fast, and I
doubt Proboards wants to offend its users by deleting important posts and
information. The process should be completed soon though.
Here
is an example of a working Proboards v4:

Welcome to the New Twilight Sanctuary
WarderDragon - June 4th, 2005
After
many weeks of wishing to remake the site, I have finally been given the
chance to rebuild Twilight Sanctuary from scratch. There is still much I
need to work on, and a great deal that is not complete yet as you can
probably see, but the groundwork for the new site has been laid. I will
update more upon completion of the site.
Also,
if anyone has any ideas, please e-mail me at
